High temperature insulation unaffected by water absorption 1

Does any one know of thermal insulation workable to 1000 degrees F whose insulation value is unaffected by water absorption (note: not just high humidity)? I will be truly appreciative of any help in this regard. Thanks.

You need to explain a bit more.
How is moisture going to be present at 1000 deg. F?

It is dificult to make the cladding of this insulation effectively water sealed. It is part of an equipment which will be necessarily hosed down every day for washing. Under these circumstances, water will keep ingressing inside insulation, and this can cause, for most insulating materials, a loss in insulation's thermal performance. Whenever the equipment is in service, this insulation will be exposed to temperatures of 1000F. So we need an insulation which can withstand 1000 degrees F, and should not derate due to water contact and absorption.

Consider a vacuum or semi-sealed double jacketed arrangement that closely conforms to the shape of your part and constructed of thin impervious material like stainless steel or glass, the inside of which can be vacuum or in the case of a semi-sealed arangement, filled with high quality insulation.
