Looking at thread240-431670, I noticed the through hole resistors and was intrigued.
While this is probably an old design, I just checked and Panasonic only rates their 2512 SMD packages to 200V continuous, 500V peak (per ERJ2GE0R00X.pdf). Do we EEs still need to use through hole parts for higher voltages? I think the last time I worked on high voltage was before 0805 resistors were popular...
