Higher temp plastic than PEEK?

Howdy all,

I'm working on a high voltage insulating, high temperature ~300c prototype device.

PEEK is currently being used as an insulator in the device, does a higher temp resilient insulating material exist besides ceramic?

Recommended for you

Above about 300C all carbon bonds become unstable so it's hard to go above that number. Try looking up Torlon.

Thermosets - Urea formaldehyde or phenolic types.

(Torlon requires considerable post-moulding thermal cycle cross-linking)

Take the 1st thing Chris said, no carbon bonds are going to survive long at that temperature (even ptfe will break down). You are in ceramic land.
