highlight in tree 1

Since loading SW2005 I have noticed a problem whereby items no longer highlight in the feature tree when I run the cursor over them.
For example when doing mates I have to actually mouse click the plane in the tree to get it show up in the window.

I have checked my mouse settings and they seem to be OK.

I am running 2005 SP0.1, XP pro SP2, Quadro4 900XGL

"tools, options, systems options" make sure that "dynamaic highlight" is checked under "feature manager"

I thought I searched through "tools, options" with a fine toothed comb. Clearly not fine enough though.
