I am working on a renovation of an existing building and they have a floor system that I am unable to find any information about online. It seems like it uses V shaped metal deck ribs as tension reinforcement (no rebar is provided) and has a wire mesh where bottom of metal deck we would use today would be. Has anyone ever seen this before, know what it is, or where to find any data on it? Photo attached. Thank you.

This structure looks like it might have been exposed to fire or at least heavy smoke or soot.

The mesh was for the plaster that was applied to the bottom of the deck for (I guess) is fire protection. At your description, I thought it might have been a keystone deck but looking at the photo, I don't think it is. I suggest that you look thru the UL book (the older, the better) for various fire rated assemblies. It might give you a clue as to the deck manufacturer.

What is the age of the building? I may have another reference that I will try to find......

Some areas of the slab have been water damaged and will have to be replaced. Not sure if there was ever a fire. The owner says around 100 years old which would put it around the 1920's. I looked at keystone as well but as you say it doesn't seem to match. Do you know if historic UL codes are available online? Thank you!
