I have a slab, made of hollow forms 375mm thick with a 75mm concrete topping reinforced with A98 steel mesh, 5mm wires at 200mm square spacing, total depth 450mm, 125mm wide joists spaced at 500mm on centre.
Partition walling needs to be introduced, some running parallel to the joists, when analyzed a single joist cannot carry the 4m high wall, 16KN/m line load. Can the concrete topping enable load sharing to the two adjacent neighboring joists to load share? In this scenario the joist are okay.
