If this doesn't excite you, you're not an engineer or geek at heart. This is real - no trick photography and took 606 "takes" to get the sequence flawless. Supposedly, the "wiper blade mid-air ballet" sequence only worked once.

I never seen wheels rolling up a ramp like that i real world. Could be me missing something though.

According to the articles about the ad, the wheels where delicately weighted so that once perturbed, they were able to roll up the ramp. Quite clever.

According to the "how they did it" web site I saw, the wheels were internally weighted and positioned with the weight at the very top, so as soon as they were bumped, they would roll uphill. You notice they each went 1/2 turn or less. The web site said that a heavy footstep or vibration would trigger the tires early; one reason for the 606 takes.

Go the the Honda page and watch the high quality add.
Go to your temporary internet folder.
Look for a file called 300k.swf.
Copy this file to another directory like your desktop.
Open the file with internet explorer. It will be full screen.
