Honeycomb : problem with defining boundary conditions

Hi, I am quite a novice in Abaqus and working on a honeycomb project.

I obtained my full assembly by duplicating the initial pattern and then constrained it using edges and points coincidences.

The problem is : I am supposed to encastre one face of the sample, and to impose a vertical deplacement on the other side (it is a compression test)
Thus, I must apply the boundary on all the edges of each honeycomb cells, what will be veryyyy long... Isn't it a more clever solution to work properly with my honeycomb sample ?

I tried to put some rigid sheet on both sides of the honeycomb cells, but I can't define the boundary conditions directly of theses sheets...

Thanks you in advance, and sorry if the description of my problem is not very clear, I am french and not very used to use technical vocabulary !

Here are two screenshots of my sample, with and without the additionnal rigid sheets.

If you use the XY view you should be able to box select the edges. I don't have abaqus open but I believe that if you box select with Ctrl pressed it will unselect the vertical edges.

For your rigid plates you need to apply the constraints to a reference point that is tied to the plates.

I hope this helps.
