Hello all,
I need to prepare a structural calculations for a woodframe house on a hillside in California. The house would look like this
______________

For the lateral analysis,
Should I treat the system as a 3 stories, or should I separate it as 1 story + 2 story with some kind of connection?

Please advice. Any opinions would be appreciated.

It would be better to do 3-D analysis for such case. Yet if you decide for 2-D analysis, then still it is not a problem, you can just take this particular model as it is and start analysing, it does not really matter to much.
