Hi Good day everyone

Does anyone have design experience with the horizontally curve inverted L-shaped Post Tension Beam?

I am going to

(1) provide transverse U-links for tendon confinement.
(2) Design the protruding beam depth as a cantilever (slab as pin support) with the lateral load from tendon. Please refer to attached plan & section.

If you guys have any example calculation or anything I can refer to, please share with me and I will be grateful.

Thanks

I've done a few.

1) not sure the hairpins are necessary as the tendons can push against the stirrups and slab.

2) instead of a cantilever, analyze it as beam torsion that gets resolved through a fixed connection with the slab.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
