Dear All,

I'm a consultant engineer and need to design a hospital that treats cancer patients with nuclear medicine.

Here is a situation, I'm air-conditioning a LINAC Bunker rooms with once thru system. I've done all calculations and other heat load related stuff. Now the concern is about the exhaust air for this bunker rooms. Is it alright to exhaust the air from the bunkers directly to the atmosphere? Will there be any radiation leakages due to this exhaust? Do I need to consider any treatment for the exhaust air before dumping into the atmosphere?

I also do have some preparation/equipment rooms, nuclear medicine storage area, etc along with the LINAC bunker rooms. What type of air-conditioning is suggested for these? Recirculating system? Once-thru system?

Would appreciate anyone giving me suggestions and any guides/codes related to nuclear medicine room air-conditioning.

Thanks in advance!
