how are volatiles transferred from trailer to storage?

We have a 5000 US gal tank for storage of aqua ammonia. The tanker truck brings AA and fills the storage tank in 30 minutes using an air compressor which is a built-in unit in the tanker truck.

We are considering transfer pump for transferring AA instead of Air compressor.

How gasoline is transferred from delivery tanker trucks to storage tanks at the retail gas stations? How do we contain vapors evaporated during this transfer?

saumian, gasoline is gravity dropped in most cases at the local retail station. PD pumps will work however the elastomers will dictate an expesive mech seal. As far as vapor transfer you'll need to have a saturation tank with a press. relief system or possibly a vapor pump set to transfer vapors at the rate in conjunction with the liquid transfer.You'll need to check your local codes.
