We're moving from the e2D world (where we've been for 20+ years) to the world of 3D & NX/Teamcenter. we've been converting our 2D drawings to parts, assemblies etc and now we've reached the items we have been avoiding. So, I was hopping that some smart people out there would have some ideas on how to approach tabulated drawings of assemblies and parts. I've attached a drawing showing one tabulated (or lined numbered) assembly drawing and one part drawing. It's starting to look like the tabulated assembly drawings can't be done and it will have to be one drawing per assembly. I've looked at making an assembly of the parts and making the BOM the tabulated dimensions and I looked at using p[art families where I embed the spreadsheet in the drawing for the tabulated dimensions. But, I've been told that families don't work well with Tc classification and we're going to start using that module. I've included 2 pictures of the tabulated drawings.
I really would like to keep the part tabulated drawings because it's easy to see the differences between parts and the parts are all the same material. So If the material changes I would only have to change to "seed" part or master part's material and that would then show up in the drawing. we have all our drawings pulling attributes from the models and Tc to populate the drawings.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
