Hi,
I am using NX6 and would like to remove the 'SIEMENS' logo from the drafting template title block and replace it with my own. On opening NX6 I choose the default model. On entering the drafting mode I choose the 'A3 with views' template - it is this template I would like to modify and be able to fully edit...

many thanks,
John

The templates are stored in %UGII_ROOT_DIR%\Templates. You can open the part files and make changes there.

Hi,
you can not do that. If you open the template file (I know where they are) in modeling you see nothing thus if you then go into drafting you can't edit all of the title block. If you start a new drawing and import the template file you can edit the title block but I still can not edit the 'SIEMENS' logo.

Can someone tell me the correct way to be able to fully edit and save any changes to the file for example:

'/templates/A3-views-sheet-template'

many thanks,
John

When you have those template files open, take a look at your layers. I think the Siemens logo is on layer 254 or 255. Make it selectable and you should be able to delete it. Same thing with the rest of the drawing border. Just need to find what layer it is on and make those layers selectable.

Hi BOPdesigner,
got it!

many thanks,
John

My preference would be to backup any default templates supplied out of the box, before I changed things. I actually still use my own custom .pax files because I find it easier to swap the formats from different customers using that method.
