how can i turn off the symbol of all cells. 2

hi,i have a problem:
how can i turn off all the cells's symbol,just like turn off the linestyle of lines through the view attribute dialog.
can anyone tell me the solusion,thanks in advance.

I'm not really sure what you mean by a cell's "symbol", but you can change the symbology of a cell the same way as any other element. Either select the cell and change the symbology with the Primary Tools buttons, or set it to the current symbology with the Change Element Attributes command. The down-side is that the entire cell is changed at once.

The only ways to change part of a cell's symbology is to either drop complex on the cell and change what you want to change, or use Level Symbology, which changes the symbology of the entire design file at once.

So what are you trying to do, exactly?

my question means: how can i display all the cells in a design file as lines(length=0) or points temporarily ?

If you are looking for a way for drawings to redraw more quickly because your cells are complex, try using the Fast Cells option under View Attributes (click on the Bently "B" in the upper left-hand corner of the view window). This will cause all cells to appear as a box surrounding the extents of the cell. You can still move and copy the box and when you turn Fast Cells off, the cell will replace all the boxes.

If this is not what you're looking for, let's keep trying.

can i display all cells as a point(not box).

I think your wanting to turn off/on your cells via a toggle.
I assume your using V8.
The only way I can acheive this is to reserve a special level for all cell use only.
Lets say level 1 will always be reserved for cells as your office standard now open your seed file and add a level so its level 1 and rename it Cell level. Save seed file and close seed file.dgn
Now open your cell library turn on model view to load each cell independatly for editing.
now with the modify pallet set the active level to be cell level and change all your cells to this level.
Always remember to creat your new cells on this level and when you plce cells they will be on this level so you can toggle that lvel on/ off to turn off all cell info.
