Hello, I'm looking for a way to use CVS or text file data to as data for a grip program to function with. I see scratch files but I don't know what they are. Regards Jim

Yes Thank you cowski,
I found this and trying to get it working. The error 1549010 - The scratch file has not been initialized. pops up? The are 10 scratch file areas available I've read. This is all I know about it. Regards.

Go to the User Help files and search on 'scratch' and one of the items returned will be 'read text'. Select it and between what you will find on that page and the 'Overview|Statement List' referenced pages (as well as looking at the sample program) you should get some insight into how to read a text file.

Thanks John,
There was allot of good in there, however I think i would need an example to make it work. I would like to read from cvs and also write someday too. Regards, All! Jim
