Hi,

I need some information in order to make an inventory of hazardous products. In this case the question is if there is made any correlation between the API grade of different tipes of crude oil and their flammabilities.

Thanks very much

Do you mean API gravity?

If yes, I don't think you can correlated API gravity to flammability. Flammability would depend on composition. You can have the same API gravity, but different composition - hence different flammability.

To determine the flammability of a liquid you will need to perform a closed cup flash point test to determine its flash point. Also, the boiling point temperature of the liquid and its flammable range should be determined.
