I'm making a representation of a label. I've extruded the base shape, and wanted to have several lines of text, centered, visible. The text positions and extrudes fine, the only trouble is that the text justification options are not available. I've tried inserting the text, then hitting Properties, I've tried hitting this button before accepting text, I've tried highlighting the text before hitting the 'center' button. None of this works. And I'm already not "using the document font". I can change the width of the text, and its height and style, just not the justification.

Thanks for your help folks, Elena

Hi Elena,

Are you using SolidWorks 2001plus

what you need to do is select a guide curve or edge that you want the text to be aligned to (in your case centred) - whilst in the text dialogue box. This will then give you the options to justify your text as desired.

Hope this helps!

Great, thanks that did it.
