how do I import a set of coordinates

I am trying to import a list of x,y coordinates, I have them in an excel file but can put them in a word file if I need to. It seems to me there should be a way to insert 1000 plus points besides doing each one by hand. Is there a way to do just import them all at once. Thanks for the help.

Hi,
you should to create simple text file with command POINT X,Y. Save the file as XXXXXX.SCR. Go to Tools-RunScript, load the file.

Tried that but .SCR doesn't load.

Do not use excel file. Try plain text.
