Show the dimension from the sketch in the drawing (Annotation menu, Model items). Begin a note, while editing the note click on the dimension you want linked in.

WILL IT STAY LINKED IF I CHANGE THE MODEL?

ALSO CAN I LINK ONE DIM INTO ANOTHER..... SAY I WANT TO DO 4X 4.00 = 16.00 NON-CUM.... THE REAL DIM IS 16.00 BUT I WANT TO MAKE THE 4.00 LINK ABLE..

WILL IT STAY LINKED IF I CHANGE THE MODEL? - If the dimension exists it should stay linked.

ALSO CAN I LINK ONE DIM INTO ANOTHER..... SAY I WANT TO DO 4X 4.00 = 16.00 NON-CUM.... THE REAL DIM IS 16.00 BUT I WANT TO MAKE THE 4.00 LINK ABLE.. - not sure what the situation is so I can't comment specifically, however maybe it's an equation you are looking for? possibly trying to use a variable to drive dims?

Like it is a hole pattern and the distance between the holes is 4.00" but there are 4 of them in a row and the total is 16.00".... normally you would dimension the outside two holes witch would be 16.00" but you would want to say 4 hole at 4.00" = 16.00" tolerance non-cumunitive.... so the 16.00" dim is easy... but i want to link the 4.00" dim..... so if the pattern changes the drawing would change.... example it changes to 4 holes at 3.00' = 12.00"..... the 12.00 would update but i would have to manually change the 3.00"

thanks for all your help!

You can use model items to show the number in a pattern, which can then be linked into a note. I would just dimension the overall hole layout but it sounds like your trying to create a note that has all the information in it? If so I'm not sure how to have that as complete as I think you are asking for.

You can use a reference dimension for the total width. If you have a hole pattern with 5 holes on 4" spacing the total width will be 16". Change the spacing to 3" and the total width updates to 12". You should be able to link that reference dimension into your note.
