I'm new to UG (7.5) and I'm unable to determine what I need to do to set my Assembly Load Options so that I don't have to re-map each time I open an Assembly. I have files stored in multiple locations which are used to build an assembly. Each time I open the assembly I'm forced to go through the "Load Options" then pick "From Search Folders" and manually go find each folder that has parts that I need. I'm sure there is a more efficient way, I just don't know what it is.

Go into your "assembly load options" menu, expand "saved Load Options" , and then press "save as default"
You may also want to save them to a file to be safe.

Set your Load Options to use "From Search Directories" and then add the folders that you regularly search from.

To search subfolders simply add "..." to the end. For example "C:\MyFolder..." would search all subfolders below "MyFolder".

After you save the model the first time you can use the load option "As Saved" and never search again...

Thanks Jerry1423, I tried your suggestion but get a message "No write access to file (path) \load-options.def.

Phillpd, I follow that procedure but I have to do it every time I open the assembly. I was hoping to find a way to make UG "remember" the paths.

Thanks for your help guys.

Hi designlady,
NX installation folder / file structure is in read-only to avoid inadequate changing.
So you can save on desktop the fil and then overwrite manually the file present on the UGII installation folder.

Thank you...
