How do you get hole wizard info to import into a drawing 1

I have an assembly fully built and then used the hole wizard to knock in a few screws. When I try to make a drawing of each part the parts import without the countersunk holes from the hole wizard. I understand that I made the holes in the assembly not the part so thats why they dont show up when I make a drawing from the part.

So my question is: Is there a way to get Hole Wizard info made in an assembly to show up in part drawings? Or even get the info from the assembly into the modeled part itself?

There are two ways to do this in the assembly.

1) If you create the hole using the "hole series" selection from the hole wizard it will show up in the drawing.

2) Right mouse click on the part that you want to add the hole to and select "Edit Part", now use the Hole wizard to add the needed hole. This will add the hole to the part and not just in the assembly.

Holes, ribs, welds etc... added in the assembly are just that, features that you want added at assembly.

testy it worked, thanks. Make a whole lot of sense too. I dont understand the purpose of doing it the second way you explained, since it would only go through the first part. The only thing I can think of is if you were using set screws you would only want a hole in the first part. It this the correct way of thinking. Anyway thanks four your help, its appreciated.

One more question... I never likes the hole wizard but I know need to learn to make it my friend so here goes.

This assembly is very basic, imagine a square metal plate with 4 strips covering each end. This assembly has 2 madeled parts, one is repeated 4times. Now when using the hole series to screw each of the strips to one end of the square plate i create 4 location points on ONE of the end strips (Since they are the same the holes should and do repeat in each of the four strips) With smart fasteners checked I continue and select 'populate all'.

The result is countersunk holes in all FOUR strips, but only ONE set of end condition holes in the plate and ONE set of fasteners instead of propogating through the 3 other duplicated strips.

I assume I could simply create location points in ALL FOUR strips to create the Hole series and fill them all with fasteners but shouldnt it be able to do this on its own by using the first instance and copying it to all the others in the drawing?
 
There are quite a few instances where you may want to use the second example. For instance, if you had a rotating part with a locating pin you could not use hole series because the holes would be tied to one another. You would want to be able to locate the holes in the assembly, but but not constrained to each other so the part could rotate.

Truthfully, I do not use "Hole Series" much. I usually just edit the part and add the hole pattern that I want. Then I edit the second part and add it's corresponding hole pattern. To do this, just add location points constrained to the first set of holes by dragging them in place. The reason for this is we use some odd tooling such as MIL spec washers and it gets too confusing with the hole series. This is basically what you are describing as your workaround for populating your fastener holes. I do not have toolbox so I don't use smart-fasteners, can't help you there.
