Now this issue has been bugging me for a couple of weeks since coming to NX9 - controlling the format of how the "hole callout" in Radial Dimension. Have dimensions coming in with the dimension line coming in below the Dimension. However to be ASME Y14.5-2009 complaint, need the line to be after the first line of the Dimension, like the rest of the dimensioning tools in NX9. Looked in Customer Defaults, found no options - looked at help, found no passages. Help!

Im no expert on this yet, but I have been playing with this one. I have not found a way to make it work with HOLE CALL OUT. But can I ask why not use Radial and add "THRU" as an appended text if you need it?

Found it. I cant figure out how to change one once it is set like that, but before you place the dims you can go to menu, preferences - drafting - dimension - hole callout. In the "Leader Attachment" dropdown, switch it to "top". Then when you place HOLE CALLOUT dimensions it should be set right.

As Kenja824 pointed out, it's set in the preferences.
To change existing ones, set the preference, you can the force the existing callouts to read the preference.
The setting also exists in the Customer Defaults, under the drawing standard. Pick the drawing standard to use, then customise it to change how you want the leader to work.
Attached video shows how to do the above.

Our Vimeo site has a a video: that explains how the drafting standards are used and when they work/don't work as expected.

Pink Star to Kenja824, thanks for the help! Note to the peanut gallery - still has to be hole created from HOLE, and not a feature created in a sketch. Also, anyone used Feature Parameters before?

Yes. I believe "hole callout" is a replacement for "feature parameters" in NX9 & up.
