PD,

Where you live (or are willing to live) has more to do with the
availibility and salaries of jobs.

I live in Virginia and there are CATIA jobs here in my area, but
as you move away from Hampton Roads - they become few and
far between.

If you live near Detroit, MI, then the job market is almost wide open.
There are other areas as well, but I am familiar with the Automotive
Industry.

Check out and for locations and salaries of CATIA related jobs. Just type catia in the
search window to see where most of the jobs are and go from there.

Good Luck,
Metricman

my question is: it is possible for me to find a CATIA job at that level?
thanks

PD,

I would say YES to the question of "can you find an entry level
job in CATIA?". But I don't know where you live and CATIA seems
to be sparse in certain areas of the country. That's why I suggested
that you look to see where the jobs are located. If you live in Phillip,
South Dakota, then the prospects are very, very slim. If you live near
Detroit, Michigan or Seattle, Washington - then the odds improve
dramatically.

thanks for reply metricman.
i'm living in austin, TX. but i'm willing to relocation, too.
by the way, how much (just about) i may expect during first year?
again thanks

PD,

I really can't say. I only know that experienced CATIA
designers are getting around $37.00 an hour as temps.

Check Boeing and the other Aerospace sites for job info
on location and salaries.
