How to access rgb colors direct

Im looking for a solution with grip or journaling to manage body color for example direct with the RGB settings. For some reasons ( several config cdf's) I can not use the standard cdf files. Can I do it with grip? In the grip doc there is an example for the background, does it work with curves bodies ... etc.?
