How to add Beam cross section properties to imported mesh?

I have a mesh that was imported from Abaqus but the beam cross section data is missing. As a result the structural model omits the beam elements.

How do I access the beam cross section data in Ansys? I cant find any way to do it in the FE Modeler, Mechanical Model or Mesh modules so far

As far as my understanding goes, in workbench cross sections are defined in DesignModeler (DM).

Since you are importing a mesh, you cannot use that; unless you get geometry (lines), instead of a mesh, which can then be imported to DM.

If you want to use this mesh, the only way I can think of is to go from FE modeller to APDL, assign the sections there and solve there.

Seems like a really fundamental feature to edit element properties, weird.
