Hi Erwin,
Although you can utilize draft analysis to give a cursory check but there are some OOTB also like for example you can check it through MOLD PART VALIDATION also which shows undercuts seperately.

If you do not have the Mold Part Validation you could also do a slope analysis that will get you close to seeing undercuts.

I / we have only a mach designer bundle - no license to draft analysis no way for nolded part validation.
Any smaller solution?

Hi Erwin,
do you have any sample part with you? One very crude option may be using EXTRACT BODY (REGION OF FACES) and use ANGULAR TOLERANCE of 90 degrees (or more) in the USE TRAVERSE TANGENT EDGE ANGLE .Select any Prting surface first and then try running this.
For simple models it will surely give you some hints.Let us try it out on some sample ones.

I have had success orienting my view to the draw direction, generating silhouette curves, and then rolling around the model, looking for part edges that aren't part of the silhouettes.

[green]To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?[/green]

thank you for all your replies,
slope face analysis did the trick with a lower license
