Hello,
I am working on a 5/4 story building that has a basement wall ( see attached) on the left will be 5 story and right will be 4 story.
is there anyway I can pin the wall at the top and ignore using the counterfort.
see here
How can I justify that this is enough to not use counterfort?
Note: there will be a temporary shoring so we can pin the top of the wall and use the slab to pin it a partially.
Is the temporary shoring supposed to hold up the retaining wall until the pinned slab connection can be installed? yes
