How to calculate pipe noise insulation for power plant

Hi, we need to calculate the pipe noise insulation for water and steam pipe lines in power plant. We have sound limit of 75 decibel for all equipment's like valves ,pumps etc. If we go with ISO code 15665-2003, we have noise class A, B, C. where we get insulation of 50 mm or 100 mm for pipe for specified insulator density. WE have mineral wool as insulator or we use some different insulator than how to get the insulation thickness for noise. How to get any formulation that govern the pipe insulation thickness as per insulation material.how get distributed 75 Db level in Octave band frequency.

The correct solution is to measure the surface vibrations of the pipes, and use SEA, or else measure the radiated sound directly with an acoustic intensity probe. Then using the measured property of your insulation you can work out how thick it needs to be to achieve your requirements.

Actually , we need to calculate pipe insulation thickness with help of formulation. so in project we can estimate the initial cost and plan piping layout, As per code ISO15665, it restrict us to use 50 or 100 mm thickness for pipe. IS there any formulation by which we can estimate the insulation thickness for specific pipe for meet specific noise decibel like 75 dB.
 
You need to calculate the unsilenced sound levels; a lot of work!

Pipe radiation is very complex - see this for an overview, since you have pipe modes coupled to duct modes that together radiate. Further more you have a lot of noise generated from valves, pumps, and other sources, so many things to think about (plus there could be other paths/sources that cause this via structure borne sound transmission).
The best thing you can do is to get expert help if this is a problem and noise levels are to high and above legislation limits.

I have worked with Lloyd's Register (ODS - vibration acoustics consultants), so they have the necessary expertise (this is a highly specialised field where they typically have a Master degree in this field and accreditation say from an acoustic institution) to carry that out. Sure there are a lot of similar experts (acoustic/vibrations consultants ) where you are.
