How to calculate strain rate for VUSDFLD subroutine ABAQUS

Hi guys,
I needed to write a subroutine for showing the effect of viscosity with strain rate. How do i calculate the strain rate from the abaqus field output?

According to me, getvrm should be used for calling 'LE' and then divide it with dt.

I will be grateful of any help with corrections.

Strain rate is available as an integration point output variable ER.
