How to convert ECAD Files to 3D PCB model in Catia V5

Guys,

Need your inputs!!
Im Mechanical Design Engineer currently using CATIA v5 product.
Actually my intention is, "How to create or convert ECAD files to CATIA v5 apparently in a 3D CAD model (Populated PCB Assembly Model)"...???? What software converter am I going to use that capable to generate ECAD 3D Model???

= PCB Team uses: = Mechanical Design Group Uses:
* PADS Software * Catia V5

If you can export the file in IDF format the Circuit Board Design workbench of V5 can import this format.

With the Circuit Board Design workbench.
Select File > Open .
The File Selection dialog box opens.

Select the samplepanel.idf file.
The Circuit Board Design dialog box opens:

an IDF file only contains the description of one panel or one board.
when the panel import file also refers to a board, the board part number is indicated in the file. The Edit Links icon is enabled to let you find the board import files.

Click Edit Links .
The Circuit Board Design dialog box opens:

Select the link under the Links section, the button is enabled.

Browse using to locate the board import files:

Sampleboardfile.idf
Sampleboard.lib
When done the respective lights turn green.

Click OK to validate the Links window.
You come back to the Circuit Board Design dialog box.

Navigate using to locate the panel library file: Samplepanel.lib.

When done the Library light turns green.
The dialog box looks like this:

Click OK to validate.
The status bar indicates the import progression.

You can use catalog files for both the panel and board imports, if need be.
You can import patterned pads from IDF files.
