Hi,
I have two fibres like the ones in the picture I have attached. Real blue fibre is connected through a deformable wire (the yellow one) to the red fibre. In my simulation I’m trying to couple the motion of the red fibre to the deformation of the blue fibre without creating the wire. But, I’m not able to properly do it by using connectors or the coupling constraint. Someone has suggestion on how to do it? There is a way through which I can simulate the effect of the wire without creating it as a part of the simulation?
Thank you very much

I think that it would be best to actually model the wire using beam elements in this case. Otherwise, you may not be able to properly capture all the effects of this connection. However, you could try to approximate it using connectors, couplings and maybe even MPCs (like equation constraint).

Thank you for your response.

I tried to use both connectors and MPCs but they result to be too stiff for this problem. This constraints do not represent properly a deformable system like the wire. I'm searching for something more soft which avoid the departure of the red fibre but allow its approach to the blu fibre.
