Dear all,
My name is Paula and I trying to model a yeast cell in a water tank under high Hydrostatic pressure.

I am having some problem with my axisymmetric model, which is a yeast cell (r= 0.0025 mm) inside water tank ( 10 mm* 50 mm)

What I did is to make 3 parts.
First part: as a rectangular shell piece as a water tank.
Second part: the circular cell wall of a yeast cell(shell)
Third part: the cytoplasm ( circular too) of the yeast cell.(shell)

I made a hole cut inside de water part, this represents the space of my yeast cell ( wall and cytoplasm). But I found the problem that the cut in the water part was not so perfect and round as the cell wall, so in the assembly it doesn´t fit well. Is it a problem of the resolution of the draw? I am sending some pictures

Moreover, I would like to see the effect in the cell wall when I ´ll make high hydrostatic pressure load, so in this case I think I will have problems.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks in advance for your help. Happy Friday!

Regards,

Paula

It's likely a view resolution thing in the assembly. Mesh it and see if that helps matters.

I can't view it, but if it is resolution, then look in the part module under view options and choose a finer view. You don't get this in the Assembly module.

Dear TG54 and Corus,

Thank you for your promt answer and for your advices!
