Hello Everybody

I would like to create my toolbar in file *.tbr. In future I want to apply this toolbar in other computers. Please explain to me step by step how to do it. I work on NX6.

Thank you
Jim

Recommended for you

step 1: right click on the toolbar area and choose "customize"

step 2: in the toolbar tab, press "NEW" and give it a name. You can also choose what applications this bar will be available in.... I choose "Always Available".

*** when you press OK, you should see a tiny, empty toolbar on the screen.***

step 3: Change to the "commands" tab. This window is split in two. On the left side you you have catagories... On the right you will see the available commands. What you do is, you browse through the catagories until you find a command you want on your toolbar then you drag and drop it onto the new toolbar floating on your screen. Thats it.

step 4: repeat until you have everything you want.

Notes: you can add drop downs and lists in the same way. The "new button" catagory has these options. just drag and drop till your heart's content!

J, granted this will add a 'toolbar' to your NX desktop, but it will not actually create a .tbr file which can then be shared with other users.

Here is a *.tbr file, we assign macro's to this particular one, I'm not a whizz on the file strucutres but our custom tool bars are kept on a central drive e.g P:/nx4configs/startup

We have sites all over the world and if I want to add a new button or commmand, I just get the IT guys to copy the .tbr file around the network.

Not sure if this will help.
