How to define elastic-plastic model in abaqus cae?

Hello,

I want to define a elastic-plastic model, how do I input the properties of the material? First if I define material 1, then do I have to input its elastic properties and then the plastic properties? Is this the procedure?

Hello,

It's the procedure. You must defined elastic (Young's modulus and Poisson's coeficient) and plastic behavior (give the curves stress vs plastic strain).

Double click "Materials" under the Model tree on the left, add a new material and a follow as Flo67 mentioned above. All the best.
