How to determine required reinforcement at wall/roof/slab transition

After determining reinforcement for walls, slabs, beams, etc.,....what guidelines are there and what are they for determining the reinforcement required at the transitions?

For example, a roof slab and a wall; how much steel do I want if I want to be able to have a moment connection at the transition? And, how much development length is required? A code section reference is nice but not always easy to understand so an explanation is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Its really no different analyzing a wall/slab intersection than it is for a column/beam. You simply take a 1 foot (or whatever unit you're using) increment/strip of slab/wall and model your "continuous" bent structure. You get a moment at the corner junction and determine the As required at that point.
