How to determine the cracking pressure of ball type check valve??

Hi all,
good day!!!
Please find the attached image for the detailed problem.how to determine the area of the ball and at which area of the ball the pressure acts???
Please help me in guiding to design the ball type check valve .provide me any sample calculation and procedures for the design of Ball type check valve.

hint - It's a very simple trigometric solution.
Pressure acts in all directions at the same time.

Ignore the curvature of the ball and simply work out the area from one side of the V where the ball touches to the other.

I believe that is correct.

This is though the pressure that the first bit of fluid passes the valve. Once you try to get more flow then other parameters start to come into play
