How to display assemblies in Powerpoint

I am looking for a way to add to a presentation of powerpoint, a full assembly created by Solidworks.
Is anyone have the idea how to do that?

While in SW with your Assembly open, hit the "Print Screen" button on the keyboard. This copies a picture of your current screen to the clipboard. Next go to Powerpoint and hit [ctrl]+v to paste the picture in. You can edit (crop) the picture there, or paste it in and edit it in Photo Editor, then put it into Powerpoint.

FYI, [ALT]+[PRINT SCREEN] copies only the active window, not the entire screen, to the clipboard.

You can also enable the ability to save the SW view as a JPG image file. Then you can insert that into PowerPoint. "The attempt and not the deed confounds us."

When you make a new slide, choose a layout with an 'object' placeholder. Don't select 'insert, object' and directly insert the assembly since it will make your Powerpoint very large. Put the picture (created using one of the methods above) in that spot. Then, if you want to be able to bring up the assembly in SolidWorks, you can make a hyperlink to it. Highlight the picture, or maybe a piece of text, right-click, select hyperlink, then browse for the file. That way your Powerpoint stays small, but you can launch the assembly if you need to.

Thanks for the replies, but what I ment is to add and assembly and still to be able to rotate , pan , and zooming of the object in the power point presentation.
In the meanwhile I have found very nice software at

I achieve this through an e-drawing. I save the assembly drawing as an e-drawing and then do a screen capture of the assembly. I place the screen capture in my power point presentation and hyperlink it to the e-drawing. When you double click the screen capture the e-drawing opens and you can use the e-drawing features from there. It works pretty welll.

Can you do this with other software output? Powerpoint does some very limited animations. You could create a moving gif or break the solidworks assembly into movable pieces. The easiest is to just use E-drawings. If you insert an object you can link to SWorks from the slide.
But if you move this onto someone elses PC it is probably not going to work.

If you use the "pack an go feature" in PowerPoint you can easily exchange the power point presentation (between computers) and all the needed files will go with it.
