Using Insert Raster Image, for autocad 2000.
Would like to know how to insert lines and other drawing objects on top of the inserted image such that they print in the foreground of the raster inserted image...

I find when using rasters a better option is to use the transperancy command -
Modify - Object - Image - Transparency - select image frame and then select on or off.

Makes regens a lot eaiser also.

I tend to keep the display order tool bar on the screen. It becomes a pain, but I haven't found a way to keep the image permanently in the background.

display order doesn't always work, you can mess with

send to back
send in front ...

but, to be sure

1. place "image" as the first oject in you drawing
(if you can)

2. copy all except "image", then erase previous, this will
always have "image" "under" all Acad objects.

hope this helps

i'm sure you use tframes. just make sure your frames are turned on and then use the above or under option from the draworder command.

Absolute zero has nothing on me!!

Quote mfpd: Is there a way to get rid of the frames when you insert a Raster image?

"_imageframe"
or "tframe" from Expresstools V 1-9
