how to extract un-associative "dumb" body, within same part

It's easy to Extract a Body and Fix it at Timestamp. But if the source body's shape changes, this Extracted Body will also change (which is what is intended with this feature). But in some cases I'd like to just extract a dumb body, which will be un-parametric. Not sure how to do this without actually exporting, then importing the Part or Body.

Anyone have any tips on this?

Remove the parameters from your extracted body (Edit -> Feature -> Remove Parameters...).

Sometimes what I do is copy the parametized body to another layer, and the copied body will be non-parametric.
The original body will not be affected.
Format -> Copy to Layer
