How to find set Pressure Transmitter on a Low pressure Tank

Hi,
I have been asked to install a pressure transmitters on a low pressure storage tanks to shut off the pump should a low level pressure be reached. This is to prevent too much air been drawn into the tank head space creating an explosive atmosphere. The tanks are blanketed which keeps nominal pressure at 20mbarg . There is also a BV which relives at -10mbarg to 25mbarg.
Tank 1. Capacity 30m3 - Fill Rate 9.5m3/hr - Empty Rate 26.6m3/hr
Tank 2. Capacity 60m3 - Fill Rate 14.5m3/hr - Empty Rate 8m3/hr
Tank 3. Capacity 30m3 - Fill Rate 12.5m3/hr - Empty Rate 18m3/hr
Tank 4. Capacity 30m3 - Fill Rate 12.5m3/hr - Empty Rate 12m3/hr
Tank 5. Capacity 40m3 - Fill Rate 7.1m3/hr - Empty Rate 10.6m3/hr

How would I identify /find the set point with such low pressures to shut off the pump based on the above Nominal pressure and fill and empty rates. What other information is required and what is the formula.
Can anybody offer me any advise on this.

You would only suck air if your blanketing system fails (either a failed closed valve or total system failure) or if it is not designed correctly in conjunction with the pressure and vaccum relief valve.

If your goal is to only monitor the headspace for explosiveness, I think you would be better of with an O2 sensor.

If you want/need to go with the pressure route, then the pressure would be anything lower than 20 mbarg - X mbarg, where X is the pressure drop from the blanketing pressure sensing location to the pressure transmitter you with to install location. If the blanketing valve is directly controlling the tank headspace, then X would be zero. If it is controlling its downstream discharge pipe, then you would have some positive value for X, which you can calculate. Add some gap to account for pressure fluctuations of the blanketing system and there you go.

Well if the BV - (Breather valve??) is just letting in air then I would go for 5mbarg, or maybe 0 if your set point for breather operation is -10.

You want to prevent air getting in, not deal with the problem afterwards.

Capacity of the blanketing valve though should be easy to find or is this in case of failure?

As is the activation range of the blanket gas or the +/- figure. Vendors will supply this normally.
