Hi,
I modeled a pipe bend, pressurized it, and gave a displacement. I want to plot the stress-strain curve for the maximum stress location. It is an elastic-perfectly plastic model, so I have plastic strain as well. To plot the stress-strain curve, I have taken the von-mises stress and (Emax Prin) strain at the node. Is it correct? Is the Emax Prin in Abaqus the total strain (elastic + plastic)?
Please shed some light on this.
Thank you.

The "E" output variable is a total strain (elastic, inelastic and thermal). Here you selected the maximum principal strain. Typically one of the strain tensor’s components (depending on the model’s orientation, e.g. E11) is used and plotted against the corresponding component of the stress tensor.

Thank you FEA way, I have plotted S22 vs E22, and got a beautiful hysteresis curve. Thank you.
