NX 5.0.4.1
It seems each time I select Transform or Hide, I need to reset the filter. Transform defaults to Dimension, Hide defaults to CSYS. Why doesn't it go back to No Selection Filter or at least remember the last used filter for that operation and or how can I set it to default to No Selection Filter?
Measure remembers the last filter, good thing, but Hide & Transform does not.

I think I just have to re-learn NX. If I pick it first, I can apply the hide, transform, etc.
Now that I think about it, it was mentioned as an enhancement back a few releases ago.
Better than the PFK days anyway. I used to go out and have a cigarette while it completed all the commands :)

If the filter setting is not going back to 'No Selection Filter' try hitting the 'Reset Filter' button at the bottom of the 'Filters' section of the dialog.

Thanks John, yea, that's what is frustrating.

Extra step each time, so it's just annoying is all.
If I pick the geometry first, then click the command it's fine.

It gets me every time, when I want to hide a bunch of stuff with rectangle select & nothing selects because it defaults to someting weird like CSYS.

Now I don't see the problems you see at all. My selection filter defaults to 'No Selection Filter' for virtually ALL functions in NX 5. You may need to reset your registry setting for NX.

John, GTAC solved the selection filter issue.
Delete the dialogmemory.dlx file from the system.
Selection filter now remains "No Selection Filter" when choosing hide or transform, etc.

Note that in NX 6 we've added an option under the Preferences -> User Interface to 'Reset Dialog Box Settings'.

While we don't expect that users will need to use this option too often, we felt that if and when it was advisable to do so, that this would be better then telling them to start deleting system level files ;-)
