How to get spot welds on drawings

I have an assmebly from and OEM that has three part files in the assembly. 2 parts are stampings and one is a spot weld file. When I create a drawing the spot welds do not show up. I have played with all the visibility and view properties slections with out any success.

The only way I have been able to bring the spot welds over to drafting is to create an assembly of the OEM assembly and create a model view then create a view in drafting of the created model view. I really do not want to do it this way.

Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to bring the spot welds over?

I usually just use text and put an asterisk where I want welds.
