How to import XY data for material properties 1

Hello
I am trying to copy the material properties from a CAE file and then create X-Y data. I go to Plug-ins, Tools, and Excel Utilities and at the end I get data files in Excel file. But in the new CAE file when I want to import the data (material properties) I use "Read from file" but I get an error "This is file cannot be read because it appears to be in binary format".
How can I solve the issue?

[FEA way]

You can save the material data in a text file, open Visualization module and use Create XY Data —> Keyboard. Then you can fill the table with data imported from text file.
