I'm trying to install an irrigation system and the only water source is my well, I know how to install one from a city water line but I have no clue how to do it with a well. My psi at the spigot is 30psi and about 6.75 gpm from the spigot. I need at least 40psi and 15gpm to operate the system safetly. I need step by step instructions on obtaining the proper pressure, gpm, and install. Do I need a pump, and if so, is there any good websites on "How To"? Below is the Best I could find, is it recommended? Do I have to do it this way?
Thank you.

Based on what you mentioned so far, it sounds like the limiting factor is your pump. Although the location of your spigot, is it at the tank, at the well, or on the other side of the house could affect that. The quick glimpse I had of the website you attached looks like a good place to start.

You should be able to find a local well supply company, maybe well drillers, or a local hardware or plumbing supply store that deal with well pumps on a regular basis that you can discuss your needs and they can probably help you pick the best option.

For installing the irrigation system, it should be the same as from public water supply, the only difference is the water supply is different.

Gattz,
Most likely your current limit is your pump but your well capacity may form the next limit. Find a good local well driller/supplier and get his input. Well capacities and requirements vary tremendously due to subsoil conditions. What might work with a shallow well and household pump in midwestern USA may require deep wells, rock drilling ability and multiple horsepower pumps in western States.
Some states have a licensing board for drillers. They collect data on subsurface conditions and can give a pretty good idea of who can do the job and water production capacity in your area.
Good luck. BTDT.

Switch out the pump from the well to achieve greater flows and pressure. Layne-Western are experts.
