HOW TO LOCATE CAE FILES

Hello,
Please, I have a trouble locating CAE files for some project, even though I am able to see the ODB files for every job. How do I locate the CAE files where these jobs were ran? I checked the folders and all, but could not locate them.

CAE files are independent of job files since jobs are run from INP files. Just use the search tool on your computer and look for CAE but also JNL and RPY files. Those are the backups that can be used to recreate the CAE database.

How do I recreate the CAE database please? I need to have access to the model and how I prepared them from PART CREATION to JOB. I believe my system did not crash. It is just surprising that I am unable to locate where those ODB files and all originated from.

You can recreate the CAE database only if you have the JNL or RPY file so you need to find it first.

Otherwise, the best (but rather tedious) way might be to import the INP file to Abaqus/CAE and recrrate the geometry from orphan mesh if needed.
