Save the part with a new name with save as copy option. Make a simple cut extrusion on the new part in order to get the section you want. Import the new isometric view from this part in the drawing.

I think that is some kind of solution

Take a view, e.g. top view. establish a section view from first view. right click your section view and select isometric section view. Your first view will define your isometric view orientation.

I am using SW07. So i think you are not looking careful. Right click on any section view and select isometric section view. I have this menu so you must have to.

when you clicked rmb. Look at the bottom, you will see "customize menu" .. Maybe it is hidden by your choose. Check the "isometric section view".

Thanks guys. CmAnD's idea will work, although I'm still curious to find out if there's a proper way to do this. zirtapoz, your solution only provides a full-section. I'm interested in a half-section view, as you see in the link...

Thanks!

Usually when I need to create section views that are not standard I just make a new view in the part. If you follow CBL's advice with the cut extrude and configurations, all you have to do is hit Spacebar and create a new view for each orientation and section that you want to add. I've found this to be the most efficient way to manage section views. Plus you have the added advantage of having the sections in your part file.
