Is there a way to create a numbered list for our drawing notes, where the numbers can auto-update when new lines are added or deleted?

In other words, the typical "General Notes" or "Unless Otherwise Specified" notes that typically appear in the upper left corner of a drawing.

The current method we use is pull up the Note creation tool and manually create a numbered list, and if one of the line items is deleted, the list needs to be manually re-numbered.

It would be great if there was a "smart" list where the numbers auto-correct.

While convenient, be aware that it would violate the ASME Y14.100 requirement of not re-purposing deleted note numbers.

Cannot say I have a good replacement, but a table instead of a note sounds as it was a little step on the way.
It would not surprise me if somebody has a trick in making a column produce automatic numbers ?

I would definitely deal with an object attribute on each note - Based on an index for each (format: Integer)….
By doing this everything in control - and you can do what ever is wanted afterwards ex filtering , regenerated sequences and so on….
All this to be automated and triggers when NX save button is hit …..
