Does anyone knows how to make to show me all the models available in the User Library.

I tried searching by letter but only 1,800 models were shown under this search "A"

Thanks

[sarcastic]Try typing "B", then "C"[/sarcastic]

Do you really need or want a list of all the parts with the letter "A" in the title?

Do you really need or want an uncategorised list of all 3609 items?

Try searching by category and then product. Who knows, you might even find what you are looking for!

I agree with CBL. I did a Mitutoyo Dial Indicator and it is found under Miscellanous, Various Components, not the place I thought it would be located. I plan on doing some additional things to put onto the site. I have also connected them about some enhancements for the website and they are open to suggestions. So, if you have a suggestion you should connect them.

Sorry about the confusion. Drawings in this site are not well organized, even the language for the name of the drawings is not always English, and so you cannot rely on making a search for a part that cannot be found but probably is somewhere else under a wrong heading.

It would be nice if there was a way for 3dcontentcentral to show ALL the drawings available in the database (pretty much like using the “Show all the models contributed in the last 30 days” feature)

Thanks all

It can be a pain to find things in their database. Both because of foreign names on some models, and because it's easy to accidentally save a model in the wrong category (I know I've done it). Overall it's a great site.

Not perfect, but what I've done is go through all the models folder-by-folder and page-by-page and download all models I think I 'might' need later into a symbols library on my computer. I find it's much easier to find models saved in 'my' folders with 'my' filenames when I need them later.

Then I regularly check the new files to keep up to date.

Not perfect, but it works for me.

I too found it difficult to find certain items using the "keyword" search. I was looking for a specific plumbing fitting and I accidently found it on another occasion while looking for something completely unrelated. The part name it was given by the submitter was something like "Part1". I did contact 3Dcontent central about this problem and they said that they were working on a better way of searching. This was about a year ago and nothing has changed that I know of. Regardless, it is a great site with a good amount of stuff if you have the patience and time to really dig for what you need.

Why do they put Braille dots on the keypad of the drive-up ATM?

I agree that it is a great site but, some improvements could be made to it. I use it all the time especially when I want to learn something new. I can see how other people design Models and this assists me to improve my SW skills. There is always another way to do something.

Perhaps each model could have user-defined "tags" which would work in English or Portugese (for and by those who speak Portugese)--similar to some of the newer photo sharing sites.

I posted a Nokia 5180 on that site a long time ago--I think it's still there--but it would be much more easy to find if it had a tag such as "cell phone".

Anyway, I've not found that site to be of much help for that reason and that the models are often poor representatives of the true-world objects.
